Abstract

This article proposes a theoretical model of vocational reengineering adapted to situations of socioeconomic crisis, using the Dr. Gilberto Ochoa Rodríguez Technical School of Health in Ciudad Ojeda, Venezuela, as a reference. Through a systematic document analysis (2021–2024), three possible transformative axes were identified: (1) connection with the labor market through transnational mentorships, (2) training in soft skills (resilience, leadership, assertive communication), and (3) community involvement with families and local stakeholders. Methodologically, a systematic document analysis (2021–2024) with inductive-deductive thematic coding was employed. The main finding was the identification of three viable transformative axes: transnational mentorships, soft skills training with a collective approach, and low-tech community participation. It is concluded that "disruptive adaptation" constitutes an ethical and situated framework that prioritizes psychosocial sustainability and equity over technical efficiency, offering a replicable model for technical institutions in Latin America. The research does not seek to empirically validate the model, but rather to present an original conceptual proposal called 'disruptive adaptation,' which understands educational reengineering not as a drastic break, but as a situated transformation. This initiative aims to contribute to the dialogue on career guidance in vulnerable contexts, suggesting a hybrid, adaptable, and community-based model.
